私たちの生きている現代には縦と横の繋がりがあることを常に感じています。
まず縦の繋がりとは、過去との連鎖です。私たちが今感じていることは、100年以上前の先祖も感じていたことかもしれません。一瞬でもそれを感じた時、本来の自分自身に返ってきたような懐かしい気持ちになります。私はそういった感情や感覚をできるだけ忠実に切り取り再現したいと考えています。

そして横の繋がりとは、価値の解体と再編です。日々進化するこの世界には、多様な価値観が存在しています。価値の基準は政治や社会風習によって異なりますが、私たちはしばしば偏見に囚われるために、誤解や紛争を起こします。私はヒューマニズムの立場から、一見平和に見える日常の矛盾を分析し、新しい価値を社会へ提示できたらと思います。

20年以上グラフィックデザイナーの仕事をしてきたので、キャンバスに筆で描くより、PC上でマウスやペンタブレットを使って描く方が得意です。しかし、すべてをPC上で仕上げるのではなく、画用紙にパステルや色鉛筆で描いた下絵や、キャンバスにアクリル絵の具を塗ったテクスチャを作り、デジタルアートを構成する素材として使います。それらをPC上で合体させ、デジタルファイル化した後、ペンタブレットで細部を描き込んで仕上げます。(私の作品は全てGgiclee printです)
どんなに時代が変わり人々が進化しても、同じ時代を生きる人々、そして遠い昔を生きていた人々との繋がりを感じていただければ幸いです。

I always feel that there is a vertical and horizontal connection in our living modern age.
First of all, a vertical connection is a chain with the past.What we feel now may have been felt by our ancestors over 100 years ago. When we felt it even for a moment, we have a nostalgic feeling that I returned to my original self.I want to reproduce and emphasize such emotions and sensations as closely as possible.

And the horizonal connection is the demolition and reorganization of the value.many values exist in this world evolving day by day., standards of value vary according to politics and social customs, but we often get misunderstoods and conflicts because we are held in prejudice. From the standpoint of humanism I hope to present new value to society by analyzing everyday contradictions that seems peaceful at first glance.

Since I have worked as a graphic designer for more than 20 years, I am better at drawing with a mouse or pen tablet on a PC than drawing with a brush on a canvas. However, rather than finishing everything on a PC, I create textures painted with pastels and colored pencils on drawing paper and acrylic paint on a canvas and use it as a material to make digital art. Merge them on a PC, make it into a digital file, then draw the detail with a pen tablet and finish it.(All my works are Giclee prints)
No matter how the times change and people evolve, I hope you feel the connection with people living in the same era, and people who lived far away.
